All SHiP services are staffed by our friendly team of specialist doctors, nurses, health advisors, support workers and receptionists. We welcome people of any age, gender, ethnicity and sexual orientation.
Our services are confidential and your privacy will be respected at all times. You don‘t need a GP referral to visit us.
Online STI Testing Service
- Anyone have sex can get a sexually transmitted infection
- If you are worried about having an STI you should get tested
- If you are 16 years old and over you can order a SHiP online STI test kit.
How it works
You fill in your details online and we send you a test kit that includes instructions for taking your own samples. You take your samples then post them back to us for testing (postage paid). We can test for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, HIV and syphilis.
Getting your Results
If your test results are negative (all clear) we will let you know by text message within 10 working days. If your test results are positive for chlamydia we will send you a text message. For other positive test results, we will call you. We will organise treatments for any positive results.
